Most often, a secondment is considered when the employee stays abroad with an overnight stay or, in other words, when the employee's place of work does not correspond to the employee's place of residence for a (defined) period of time. A secondment differs from work that is carried out on a trip or involves commuting (in such cases the employee must be reimbursed for increased expenses - 50% of the basic salary, but no daily allowance) and work that is performed in another location, where it is agreed that the permanent place of work is in another area (in such cases, the daily allowance is free for the employee).
An employee on a business trip is entitled to the amount of daily allowance, the amount of which depends on the laws of the country, and the amount of the percentage agreed with the employer - from 50% to 100% (and it cannot be less than 50%). The amounts are determined in the collective agreement, and if there is none, an order is issued before the employee goes on a business trip, which contains the criteria justifying a lower or higher amount of the daily allowance.
Yes, but you will have to provide the required details accurately. You must mark both the exact start and end of the trip in the calculator. After checking these data, the per diem calculator slider and the choice of countries for business trips will be activated, which is displayed with the country's flag. You can adjust the slider on the business trip calculator from 50% to 100% (depending on the per diem amount).
You can either apply complex formulas and calculate the money received during the business trip yourself, or choose a much easier way - use the salary calculator. It will provide clear and easy-to-understand calculations of how much your business trip will "cost" you.
If the employee incurs additional expenses during the business trip, for example for transportation, accommodation, etc., the employer must compensate them according to the actual expenses. If the employee's secondment lasts longer than a working day (shift) or if the employee is seconded abroad, he must be paid per diem, the use of which the employee is not obliged to account for.
